As part of the Pool Safe Quality Management Scheme, all lifeguards must achieve their National Pool Lifeguard Award. This incorporates first aid, rescue, and emergency response techniques.
In addition to the award the team jump in the pool for training once a month to refresh their knowledge and skills.
